Creator's Summary: The Suffering Game has two new contestants. It may never let them go.
Characters/Pairings: Ace McShane, Seventh Doctor
Warnings/Notes: Significant but nongraphic violence, major character death.
Reasons for reccing: This is a fantastic and heartbreaking story with some very poignant character moments for Seven and Ace. Like the description implies, there is a lot of angst and lots of suffering for in store for Ace and the Doctor in this fic. This story is a crossover with The Adventure Zone: Balance, the first campaign of the The Adventure Zone, a D&D podcast. However, in my opinion it can be enjoyed canonblind, as the Doctor and Ace are also figuring out how things work as they go along and you don't really need to know all the backstory to understand this story.
This is my sixth rec for the "Claim a Character" challenge.
