Reasons for reccing: This is an amusing fic I rediscovered while sorting through my bookmarks. Rose and Nine encounter dirt that arouses them. The two fight through their lust to do the task they were hired to do. I love the tension between this fic's Nine and Rose and the fic's ending is well worth the payoff.

Reasons for reccing: The Tenth Doctor arrives at Torchwood Three, shortly after the loss of Tosh and Owen. Little does Ten know there are creatures Torchwood are investigating that have a vendetta against him. Not only is this a rollicking vampire tale, it also takes you through Jack's feelings as Ten does battle against these vampires. To be honest, I like this novel-length fic better than some of the official tie-in novels and short story collections out there--it feels like an adventure that could've been written if Torchwood didn't go for a more serious angle with Children of Earth.

"The Strength to Let Go" finds Martha and Ten transported to 1969 via Weeping Angel; from there, the two head off to UNIT to meet Liz. "The Strength To Hold On On (The Halley's Comet Remix)" explores more of Martha and Liz's relationship that were hinted at in "The Strength to Let Go," and more of from their point of view.
