Title: making the wrong choice (and other things that are worse in a cyclical existence)
Creator:
babybel
Rating: Teen
Word Count/Length/Size: 4109 words
Creator's Summary: After his trial, the Doctor is sentenced to exile and a forced regeneration. Before that sentence can be carried out, he's given a choice: go through with it, be killed and be exiled, or just go out and do one simple task for the Time Lords, and go free. It seems like an easy choice, doesn't it? And that cloying sense of familiarity, that sense that he's made this choice before, done this all before, that's nothing. Isn't it?
Characters/Pairings: Second Doctor
Warnings/Notes: None
Reasons for reccing: This is awful. Not in the way that it's written, it's the story. It's the Doctor being given a terrible choice, wrestling with his conscience and love for Jamie and Zoe. And then it gets worse. The High Council are really awful to him, but what makes this a hard read is that it's the Doctor doing it to himself.
